I believe White was right about the forecast and understand that television twist the true meaning of joy through endless action and drama everyday on the television set. People will eventually get bored of reality in real life and will seek endless action through television set. TV is brainwashing people and the way they think about everyday life. TV is supposed to have everyday problems so the Americans can feel as if they are not in their own. Television is a fantasy world made to put people in a different dimension.
In the 1930s most of the Americans go to the movie theaters so they can get out of their regular daily problems. The same concept goes for TV, watching TV is sort of like a recharge for some people and it makes them feel good just for that moment of time. You can say people get high from watching TV and when the TV is off then it is natural to go back to the low stage. TV is also like a drug to people you get so moved when watching TV, It is almost like a fantasy world. Many young people take their examples from television nowadays.
